Dr. Michelle Miller
DMin, MA, MC, RCC
Welcome
For over 24 years, I’ve had the honour of supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging and transformative moments. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), I offer a blend of professional expertise and deep human connection to every person I work with.
Who I Am
I bring my full self into this work—shaped by decades of hard-earned sobriety, the journey of caregiving neurodivergent children, leading an organization focused on women’s equality, and sitting with countless people who have endured deep pain and injustice.
My academic background also informs my work in meaningful ways. I hold a Master’s in Theology from Regent College and a Doctorate of Ministry in Transformational Leadership from New York Theological Seminary. These studies deepened my understanding of human resilience, purpose, and the power of personal and collective transformation.
All of these experiences keep me grounded, authentic, and attuned to the complexity and beauty of the human spirit.
How I Work
My approach is evidence-based but never one-size-fits-all. It’s personalized, collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in relationship. Drawing from attachment theory, somatics, neuroscience, and emotional intelligence, I meet you where you are—with curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for your inner wisdom. Together, we uncover and build on the strengths you already possess.
Outside the Therapy Room
I find joy and restoration through being in the water, adventuring in wild places, cackling with friends, and spending time with my endlessly entertaining house rabbit (who’s quite convinced he’s the real therapist). These grounding moments remind me of the importance of connection—to ourselves, to others, and to what really matters.
Let’s Connect
If you’re looking for a therapist who brings authenticity, warmth, and deep respect for your unique story, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
